Ep. 45: A.J. Pierzynski with hilarious untold Mark Buehrle stories and why Hawk Harrelson must be in the Hall of Fame

With Mark Buehrle having his number retired by the White Sox on June 24th, A.J. Pierzynski came on the podcast to speak with Chuck Garfien about one of the best pitchers in franchise history. They talk about Buehrle's in-game preparation for his starts (there really wasn't any), with inside stories about Buehrle's no-hitter, perfect game, save in the World Series and many more. Pierzynski also makes a strong plea for Hawk Harrelson to get into the broadcasting wing of the Hall of Fame and that he wants to call a White Sox game with Hawk before he retires. With Jake Burger, Gavin Sheets, Luis Gonzalez stocking the system with much-needed power, Callis explains the potential for all three players. He also says they might have gotten one of the biggest steals in the draft in catcher Evan Scoug, who they selected in the 7th round.
