Ep. 45: A.J. Pierzynski with hilarious untold Mark Buehrle stories and why Hawk Harrelson must be in the Hall of Fame
With Mark Buehrle having his number retired by the White Sox on June 24th, A.J. Pierzynski came on the podcast to speak with Chuck Garfien about one of the best pitchers in franchise history. They talk about Buehrle's in-game preparation for his starts (there really wasn't any), with inside stories about Buehrle's no-hitter, perfect game, save in the World Series and many more. Pierzynski also makes a strong plea for Hawk Harrelson to get into the broadcasting wing of the Hall of Fame and that he wants to call a White Sox game with Hawk before he retires. Pierzynski then talks about Chris Sale destroying the team's throwback uniforms, the White Sox rebuild, Journey getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and more. After that, Garfien and Ryan McGuffey call up CSN-Chicago's Dan Hayes in Minnesota to talk about trade rumors and possible trade destinations for Jose Quintana, David Robertson, Todd Frazier and others.
